This past weekend (July 13-14) the IBL brought a 3×3 series to discovery mall in Kuta where pros and amateurs competed to see who had the best squad on the island. The day was filled with non-stop 3×3 competitions right on the waterfront and we were ecstatic to participate in the action. On site to compete, help capture some footage of the day, and promote within the basketball culture, we were excited to participate in the events.
The second stop of the 5 city tour featured some great competition as amateur teams from Bali (and some teams who travelled from Java) and the professional Indonesian league showcased their skills for a host of fans eager for some basketball. With fierce competition all day long, they were not disappointed.
3×3 events have become widespread throughout South East Asia and are one of the primary ways Basketball is becoming the fastest growing sport in Indonesia. With so much success from the 3×3 Go-Jek series, we’re excited to continue promoting and hosting teams looking for some high quality competition on the island of 1000 gods. Stay tuned for upcoming events or reach out to us to plan you Ball in Bali experience!
