    CRAIG FitzSimmons

    Craig FitzSimmons has been active as a player and coach at the top levels for over 40 years. He has played and coached professionally in Australia, Mexico, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia.

    Craig has lived in Bali for the last seven years, and he has a good grasp of the Indonesian language and culture. His love of the game is exemplified by his continuing to play in the best leagues in Bali.

    His current teams are Merpati, Hoop It Up!, Pelangi, and BBT.

    Craig started his career with the Maryborough Bouncers in Queensland in 1980.

    He has played over 700 games as a professional player, including 146 in the Australian National Basketball League (Perth Wildcats, Geelong Supercats, and Forestville Eagles).

    He also played in the Singaporean National League with Mizuno, and the Mexican Del Pacifico League with Los Mochis.

    FRED Lisko

    Fred Lisko is the youngest member of our Ball In Bali team. He brings with him the innovation and enthusiasm of the next generation.

    Fred was born and raised in the rich basketball culture of Seattle, Washington. After playing 4 years of varsity ball through High School, his focused shifted to coaching training and team building with NBC Basketball through his university years. Upon graduating university, he pursued his passion for coaching for several years in Bremen, IN and South Bend,IN before moving with his family to Bali, Indonesia in 2017. While in Bremen, Indiana he was the Varsity Assistant coach and focused on player development and team chemistry function.

    After moving to South Bend he became the JV head coach and Varsit assistant focusing on player development, athletic development and leadership training. He currently plays with Takapit Basketball Club in Denpasar, Bali.

    Tri Adiloka is a true legend in Indonesian basketball. He is revered in his home island of Bali, and admired throughout Indonesia for his exploits as a player and a coach.

    • Tri started his playing career with ASABA in Jakarta from 1989-1993. In 1994 he went to Indonesia's most successful club, ASPAC,in the Indonesian Basketball League and played with them for 10 years. He finished his distinguished career in the IBL with Mitra Kalila, playing with them in 2003 - 04.

    • Tri also spent 10 years playing with the Indonesian National team. He was the first Balinese player to ever represent Indonesia in basketball. He paved the way for many Balinese players to follow in his footsteps.

    • Tri has also been an assistant coach with the Indonesean Women's National team for a number of years, representing Indonesia at the last two Sea Games (2013 and 2017).

    • As a head coach, Tri coached NSH-GMC Jakarta in the NBL in 2012-2013. He also coached Stadium Jakarta in the NBL in 2014.

    • In 2018 Tri coached GMC Cirebon in the Liga Srikandi, the Indonesian Women's professional league.

    • He has also been the head coach for various junior teams at the state and national level.

Ball In Bali has selected Stella’s Child as its community service organization for the tournament. Stella’s Child help underprivileged youth residing in children’s homes and orphanages open doors to experiences & opportunities in business, to develop skills, stimulate creativity, and to provide a launch pad to success to which youth may otherwise not have access. Their entrepreneurship program partners youth and mentors to develop and launch social enterprise businesses in an after school program.

 

The program was developed as a playground for the youth to practice their entrepreneurial skills in the real world. Their Love Our Earth brand is now creating employment opportunities for graduates as they train to manage the business and will be the providers for a unique welcome gift for all participants.

FAQ's

1When is the tournament?
The Welcoming Dinner is Saturday, January 18th 2020. Games will run starting Sunday, January 19th 2020 and finishing Saturday, January 25th 2020
1Who is playing?
There will be four divisions; U/12, U/14, U/16, and U/18, both boys and girls. Invitations are being sent out to clubs and schools in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, China, and Indonesia.
1How many games will we play?
Each team is guaranteed 3 games. Teams making the finals will play a 4th game.
1When will we play?
Section A will play Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. Section B will play Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Off days will be for scheduled Bali tours. Teams in the finals will play on Saturday.
1Is accommodation Included in the fee?
Yes, we will make all arrangements for your Bali accommodation, tours and transport. Room allotment will be provided after your registration.
1What Bali tours are included?
We want all kids involved to not only play basketball against teams around Australasia but also experience the wonder of Bali. Tours will include Bali culture and Asia’s No. 1 Waterpark – “Waterbom”
1Will our team stay in the same hotel?
Yes, all team players and support staff will stay in the same hotel. This ensure the best possible safety and organizational ability.
1Can players families attend?
Yes, absolutely. This is a great opportunity for families to be involved in their children’s favorite sport whilst being able to experience the wonder of Bali.
Where possible we will allocate families in the same hotel. Our travel partners are looking forward to assisting turning this event into a family holiday for those that wish to do that
